Paso de La Muerte
SHORT FICTION SHOWCASED IN THE FABLE ONLINE.
A young Scottish teacher heads to Central Mexico, fleeing a broken heart. Unable to overcome her grief, each journey takes her to one place more dangerous than the last, until she accepts a post in Mexico against the advice of her lover. Facing isolation and risk she discovers internal strength. This short story — a modern fable — encapsulates the spirit of the road, of moving on, and of growing up.

Skin: A Short Story
SHORT FICTION SHOWCASED IN GREEN EGG MAGAZINE
An orcadian fisherman and raider catches the skin of a selkie — a sea maiden, binding her to him for seven years. The magic keeps her outraged lover, the Sea King, from the shore. As magic wanes, Selkie finds her strength and will returning, but can she find her skin in time? Narrated in poetic prose from the selkie's point of view, this retelling of the Scots/Norse myth brings a new perspective to this ancient tale.
